Might as Well Run 3 mi 00:27 09:03 pace

When you wake up thirty minutes before your alarm is set to go off and can't get back to sleep, you might as well get up and run. That's how I started this Wednesday.

Good Deed For the Day 3 mi 00:27 08:58 pace

Still Plodding Along 4 mi 00:35 08:39 pace

By now it has probably become obvious to most folks, if not myself, that it is not likely that I will be keeping my streak alive this fall. Since 1991 I have been a runner in the Wichita Marathon,... read more

This: "I have nothing to prove..." RIGHT ON. Race or don't race, the only person this decision makes a difference to is you. I've discovered thru various injuries, pregnancies and comebacks that not training - just running to run - is SO DANG FUN. So there you have it. I'm proud of you for making a tough choice. Now, join us at Dillons for a run.

It’s important for running to be fun. I’ve had enough layoffs that I still enjoy it. I’ve had to mix up my routine at times though to make running enjoyable and avoid stressors. Since I’ve never been one of the best I don’t put as much stress on myself as you, Patrick and several others.
