      This: "I have nothing to prove..." RIGHT ON. Race or don't race, the only person this decision makes a difference to is you. I've discovered thru various injuries, pregnancies and comebacks that not training - just running to run - is SO DANG FUN. So there you have it. I'm proud of you for making a tough choice.       It’s important for running to be fun. I’ve had enough layoffs that I still enjoy it. I’ve had to mix up my routine at times though to make running enjoyable and avoid stressors. Since I’ve never been one of the best I don’t put as much stress on myself as you, Patrick and several others.
