  1. RUN
great Saturday run 15.02 mi 02:37 10:27 pace

Ran with Austin Runners Club group, first 6 miles of the Austin Marathon course and then the Lollipop loop, plus 2x Wilke hill. There were puppies at the top of Wilke, which made the pain all better!

  2. RUN
Black Eyed Pea Run 11.27 mi 01:49 09:40 pace

Left from Rogue and ran around the lake with a couple hundred other runners. Ate yummy black-eyed peas at the end, which will ensure a lucky 2015.

Interesting. I pretty much just use it as a mileage diary and do manual updates to keep myself motivated so hadn't noticed, but you are right that it's much quieter than it used to be.

    great Dog jog 5K 3.17 mi 00:32 10:15 pace

Took the beasts out so they could get muddy on the trails. My little city made a leash law on the greenbelt last week. After almost six years of running off-leash every day, the pups will be very s... read more

    great Dog jog 10k 6.02 mi 00:57 09:30 pace

Ran dogs on the trails. Sunny and 50 degrees F on Christmas morning.

  7. RUN
    great 5x1200 on trails 7.23 mi 01:10 09:39 pace

Goal was 8:30 pace, actual intervals were:
    8:30, 8:27, 8:28, 8:32, 8:33
They were doing work on the trail so that slowed me down a few seconds.

  8. RUN
    great Ship of Fools 18 + 2 20.13 mi 03:24 10:08 pace

Ran the 18 that was on the schedule. Running buddy is going to miss next week's 20-miler, so I figured I'd give her company to get her 20 in the books. Bam, done. Beer me.

  9. RUN
    great 4x1200 on trails 5.68 mi 00:54 09:26 pace

Took the dogs for our Tuesday trail speed work, 4x1200 @8:30 with 300m recovery. However, they re-routed the trail where it had been washed out, by cutting down some trees, leaving the stumps in pl... read more

Great pace for having to dodge all the other runners, Tom. I remember running up Congress at the start of the 10K, my Garmin had me doing a big zig zag all the way up to the Capital.

might I suggest a Princeton Tec Sync? 90 lumens. AAA's last 75 hours at that brightness. <$30. There are brighter lights if you want to spend more- but I like the ones where you can use AAA's that last a long time.
