      Nice! Is it the front of your knee or side? I'm dealing with what I think is ITB issues too but mine migrated from the side to the front so now I'm not sure. Doesn't hurt much while doing everything else other than running.

      Way to go, Tadinator! Just be careful with it. I think you're right to emphasize the strength training a bit more at this point until you're feeling closer to 100 percent again. All those miles at such high intensity leading up to your ultra probably took more of a toll than you may have thought. Get well soon!

      5 years off and on ITB problems....sucks! This is what helped me, barefoot running, single leg squats, leg lifts, wall sits, Hulo Yoga video - Hips, Buns, and Thighs, single leg elastic band exercises (leg kick forward, leg kick out to the side, leg kick back), foam roller. Good Luck..

    Ran the hills and stairs at Alum creek 37 times which was 3 miles. This was sooooooo hard. Oh well now i can eat all that i want...food baby here i come!
