      i ran up and down the hall with them last night - they are certainly a different experience, but one that i think i will like...

      last time i ran, i was more conscious of running on my mid/forefoot and had as good a run as i ever had... so we'll see - the trial run is this afternoon around 330 or so - trying to do around 4 miles

      That reminds me of buying shoes when I was 6 years brother and I would try on every pair, and run up and down the aisles of the shoe store to determine which shoes made us fastest.

      The result? Velcro Kangaroos.

    in the pool for the last week or so - achilles tendon pain has kept me off the streets - as has ice and cold and work....

      I hope your tendon starts to feel better soon. I know injuries can be frustrating.

      I'd love to do the Memphis tri, but I'm just not sure about it so soon after the marathon. I will definitely find an olymipic distance to do at some point. I'm not committed to the Memphis one yet, but may start swimming or biking one day a week to see how it goes.

      Have you talked to anyone about training for a tri so soon after a full marathon? If I decide to take up that challenge, I need to figure out how to wo

      I live in Memphis and am interested in building up to a 1/2 marathon. Thinking of doing the Nashville 1/2. What was the 1/2 m that you did in Memphis. In fact, I didn't know we had one. I guess advertising was not too good here. Congrats on finishing the race!

    longest run yet - i feel totally ready for the half marathon on december 6... it was cold and windy - i don't think i was dressed right - the only thing that wasn't cold was my head...

      It was a cold day for a run. Today was the first day I thought that I can actually make it through the 1/2 marathon running. I was dressed well, but my hands were cold.

      Yeah, I was going to run today, but did not do so. I can run in the rain, I can run in the cold, but not both!!! Perhaps tonight I will be able to sneak in a run between rain showers.

      Ouch. I hope it gets better. My ankle is just getting worse. I'm thinking of skipping Saturday's long run to let it heal, but don't know if that would do any good. I'll see how it feels on Saturday, but it was really hurting by this afternoon.
