    good 10K Day! 6.3 mi 01:08 10:43 pace

It was a beautiful day for a race - crisp, chill, clear and beautiful, with the leaves changing all around. There was a bit of a cluster at the start of the race when the course marshal failed to ... read more

Hi Sam I've been away at a run weekend and just saw this - sounds like fun (except maybe the start). I bet you loved being back in the community of runners! Well done.

good Reverse loop 3.3 mi 00:31 09:21 pace

Still struggling a bit with insomnia this week, but keeping the low miles/moderate pace. I'm going to wog a 10k on Sunday with a friend who is new to running, and that will be my first event ... read more

  3. RUN
good Around the hood 3.6 mi 00:35 09:35 pace

Insomnia gremlins kept this shorter and moderate, but just getting back into the groove of trying to run every other day. As long as there's no pain, it's all good. :-)

  4. RUN
good Harder to breathe... 4.23 mi 00:39 09:16 pace

Still taking it slowly. I've lost so much cardio in the downtime, but I'm following that to allow the knee to come back. It's beginning to feel that it will take a full year for th... read more

So happy for you that you can run again and of course wishing the best for permanent long term full recovery. I can only add that I have been through a lot of this and I've come close to giving up but kept the one more
Day theme and got beyond it. You will to. Running is worth it.

An almost for-reals-y run! The knee felt good for duration. I didn't have to stop to walk it at all, and it doesn't feel stiff in the aftermath. Yay! Gonna do a slow 10k wog race with... read more

  6. RUN
good Shawshank Run 3.02 mi 00:29 09:34 pace

After trying to run in 90 degrees and nine billion percent humidity in New Orleans this last week, this rain run felt particularly amazing. And everything felt reasonably alright! Yay!

  7. RUN
    good 4.1 mi 00:39 09:37 pace

Running without the brace today - stretched the knee a couple of times. Will probably put the brace back on for just a bit yet.

Thanks very much, one and all! I'll take all of those positive thoughts. I'm being careful, Helen, as I'm still not fixed, but I am going a bit crazy. I'm taking breaks when I need to in order to stretch the knee around, and am waiting until I'm back from my mini-vacation with da kid to go see the doc about an MRI. There's something Not Right in there that PT couldn't seem to fix, and I'd like a better picture of what it is. In the meantime, carefully, carefully. And thank you, Cherish!!

Thank you, Larry! I think so, too. Church of the Sunday Long Run, though I'll take Church of the Sunday *Any* Run about now. :-) You'll be happy to know, Helen, that I woke up this morning, and while tempted, some stiffness in the knee reminded me to go do a cross training workout instead! LOL! I feel much better now. It's raining, and I have to pick up my CSA box at work today, so no biking, but the workout felt good. :-)
