great 10 mile Turkey Trot 10 mi 01:35 09:30 pace

A terrific experience for my first race longer than a 10K! I hoped to run at least 11 min pace and a reach goal was 10 min pace, so I am very happy with this result. Only my second time ever runni... read more

What a fantastic first double digit race, Rose! Always tough to know how to pace an unfamiliar distance-- how awesome that you blew your pace goal away by over 30 seconds/mile! The fact that you were able to maintain conversational mode showed that this was well within your current capabilities. Higdon has some great plans-- good choice. Congrats again, Rose, and yay for renewed running mojo!

There is new staff at the coffee shop so we have to train them. Sigh. Happy Friday everyone!

Darn it. The old staff probably knew what regular customers like you usually order before you even ask for it. Much patience will be needed for a while, I'm sure. Nice walk miles, though-- Happy Friday, Rose!

  5. FIT
    good Weights at home 00:45

I always try to include abs, chest press (in the hope it will help with push ups), lunges, and the MRTYL routing as a minimum. Oh, and don't forget the triceps - trying to counteract gravity ... read more

  6. RUN
    great Moon set/sun rise/wildlife 4.48 mi 00:47 10:33 pace

What a great time to be out running - the moon was so big and full before it disappeared behind clouds close to the ocean, then the sun rose in a clear sky. Saw a raccoon scamper across the street... read more

  7. FIT
    great Yoga with Sue 01:15

Substitute for Daryl at class - more Ashtanga and achieving poses than alignment, but I enjoyed it.

  8. FIT

    great I'm back 4.33 mi 00:46 10:31 pace

    Neighborhood Walk 1.59 mi 00:27 17:17 pace

That makes me cringe just to read it-- I've tripped and scraped knees a few times and it's no fun. I don't think I've ever fallen as hard as this one sounds. Nice run, Rose, and it's always a good time to remember to be careful!
