  1. I've started using Strava, so I'm not adding my runs onto dailymile anymore.
You can find me over there if you want to see what I'm up to :)

  2. RUN
    7.9 mi

Checking the route instructions for the second leg of the St Peter's Way ultra, with Lindley and Nicky from Challenge Running. Also crazy muddy!

  3. RUN
    5.01 mi 01:00 11:58 pace

A lovely, albeit incredibly muddy, run with the dog :)

  4. RUN
    4.7 mi 00:44 09:25 pace

Really enjoyed this run. Freezing cold out there but a beautiful clear and starry night. Felt good :)

  5. RUN
    5.2 mi 00:53 10:13 pace

Hideous early morning run. Felt like I was running through treacle, just couldn't get my legs to move. Maybe should have had a coffee to wake me up first...

  6. RUN
    10.3 mi 01:43 09:57 pace

This was a bit longer than called for in my plan but felt I had to have a double digit run today. Still seems very counterintuitive to have such a short long run but am following coach's advic... read more

  7. RUN
    7.1 mi 01:05 09:10 pace

I've had a bad week running wise - very tired after returning to work this week, meant I missed planned runs on Wednesday and Thursday. Pleased with this run though - was doing intervals of 6,... read more

  8. RUN
    4.6 mi 00:42 09:09 pace

Got a bit carried away with this run. Was meant to be 45 mins eay but this is the fastest I've run for ages despite some hills. Not sure whether it's because I've just got so used to... read more

  9. RUN
    4.5 mi 00:44 09:49 pace

A night run and barely saw another soul out there. Very cold & foggy too. Felt good and legs were fine after yesterday's bike ride which I'm pleased with

  10. VELO
    Turbo trainer 50 mi 03:40 13.6mph pace

I split this into three rides, so I had a few breaks. Find the trainer quite hard as there's no breeze, and you can't coast along at all like you can on the road, but pleased to have got ... read more

  11. RUN
Flitch Way Marathon 26.2 mi 04:35 10:29 pace

I'm pretty sure that I ran a bit further than 26.2 and I'm not certain of my time until the results come out, as my Garmin died on me, but running a marathon was a great way to round off ... read more

  12. RUN
    11.18 mi 01:57 10:27 pace

My run was very cold, about -2oC apparently, but although there was a deep frost it wasn't icy. Forgot to take my buff for my face & lungs felt like they were burning with the cold air bef... read more

Just before leaving for my Christmas morning run with the puppy

  14. RUN
Boxing Day run 5 mi 00:52 10:24 pace

Another festive run with the puppy this morning. Achilles is starting to feel a bit tight - I need to do some stretching!

  15. RUN
    Christmas run 5.5 mi 01:10 12:43 pace

A Christmas morning run :) Took the puppy with me though so it was slow

  16. RUN
    6.24 mi 01:01 09:45 pace

Plan called for 1hr inc. 5x5min efforts at HM pace. Realised that I have no idea what pace I'm running at without looking at my watch, and that my pace absolutely disappears when I'm goin... read more

It's tough juggling three sports. I find that my running has suffered so much since embarking on tri training. With that said. That's a great bit of hill work. Especially considering how windy it is out there.

  17. RUN
    6.96 mi 01:20 11:29 pace

First proper run in weeks and weeks! The plan called for 1hr easy and I'd intended to go for 30 mins up the main road, then 30 mins back. I very quickly got too's so mild out the... read more

    good Turbo cycle 20 mi

So much more pleasant cycling inside! It's too cold and slippery outside ;)

I got home from today's marathon and Francis set up the bike trainer in the sitting room, so of course I had to give it a go ;) I'm hoping this is my motivation returned!
