Not yet. I did not like the lack of balance in my life during Ironman training. 70.3 is my limit for next year.

excellent ride! We had almost identical times, I started a little late though (6:13). Why does your elevation gain say 6370, and mine says 5338?

Here is what SDC says : " We think there's areas where the terrain affects GPS elevation recording as we've seen the same sort of range from multiple attempts and multiple recordings. The unofficial "official" elevation we used was 6100 for the 103 mile course. The course change over the 15 added approximately 200' and took the "official" mileage to just over 105 mi."

GPS elevation by itself is notoriously inaccurate in the Garmin devices, so sites like Garmin Connect and Strava give the option of cross-correlating your GPS track with computerized topographic data (there is a little box in lower left of GC that says whether Elevation Corrections is enabled or not). Training Center does not have that. Also the Edge series bike computers have a built-in barometric altimeter that is supposed to be more accurate.

I was looking for a fall marathon, but this being on trails seems a lot nicer. Plus close and price is right. Just have to get my lazy a** back in gear - been slacking with my running the past few weeks
