      Wow, Boston is really close!!! Have a GREAT time! Don't forget to look to the right as you pass the mirrored service station so you can see yourself running in the Boston Marathon. Throw up your arms at the top of the Newton Hills as everyone cheers.. they will erupt if you do this! Smile at the Citigo sign and the people headed to watch the Red Sox and show your smile, lack of fear and patriotism as you run down Boylston! Way to go!! Most of all, forget the pace and just have a BLAST!!!

      About the tough choice....lots of recent foot injuries, so trained easy and long runs in the Ghost (but too much shoe for 26.2) and speed in the Mizuno Sayonara (but not enough cush for 26.2) so needed something in the middle that had lots of forefoot cushioning, but still faily light. Also needed wider toebox with some stretch, but also rugged enough to take an orthotic. Not many Goldilocks shoes that were just right, but the launch seems to fit the bill. Many runners will now say "duh!"

    Second workout of the day, so a double to catch up. Was going to do it at super easy recovery pace, but felt good and ended as a pretty good easy paced run with decent HR to match.
