today was my first official training run for the half marathon. I decided to do the Pear half starter plan which is based on heart rate, now that I have a Heart Rate solution that is reliable and accurate. I got a score of 30% on keeping in the zones... (previously my high score was 19% so I improved) I was just a fuzz over zone 2...my cool down was fuzz over zone 1, I will have to adjust a bit next time. I am trying to be good and go completely on HR and not look or consider my pace. As it said in the beginning of this workout, "it's frustrating to run slower than you think you should, but I am the coach, so listen to me I know what I am doing". I do love having the little voice in my ear telling me what to do and when, today's form check was deep easy breathing.
