  1. RUN
good The Birds Route 6 mi 00:55 09:09 pace

Morning success again! It seemed a little cooler outside, but still so muggy. Took it easy on another farm loop. Dealt with the monster red winged black birds again. Idiots.

  2. RUN
    good Downpour 6.48 mi 01:00 09:15 pace

Morning run success! Not too bad, but it was muggy as hell and with 20 minutes left in my run it started to downpour. I guess running in the rain has become my new, unfortunate specialty.

  3. RUN
    Summer 1 mi

Just wanted to squeak in a mile to end the (unexpected) beautiful day outside. It was also nice to shake out the soreness from yesterday. Ended with some lunges and whatnot in the yard. Yay summer!

  4. RUN
alright Madison Half Marathon 13.17 mi 01:49 08:15 pace

Good god this kicked my ass. I wasn't going into it with expectations, including expecting to get my ass kicked. I ran this two years ago, and the same thing happened -- but I wrote it off as ... read more

Attack of the Birds 6 mi 00:51 08:33 pace

Another awesome run on a perfect day. Haven't had a morning run in a long time -- too long. Ran the farm loop again, and love it. It's so nice and quiet. Except the red-winged black birds... read more

  6. RUN
Evening farm loop 6 mi 00:53 08:47 pace

Man, if every run could feel like that, I'd run every day forever and never complain. Waited until after 7 to get out there (because I was being lazy), but then had a perfect evening to run. R... read more

  7. RUN
good Fast finish 6.93 mi 01:02 08:53 pace

This is my kinda running weather. Sunny and 55 degrees. Felt much better than I did over the weekend. Had 45 minutes of easy running followed by 15 minutes of an assertive pace. I felt better once ... read more

  8. RUN
    Yeah, nope 2 mi

Was supposed to run 2 hours. Only ran 20 minutes. Slacked another weekend in a row. My legs have been feeling surprisingly good and strong (I'd like to thank my regular lunges as of late), but... read more

I had really low ferritin as well. The iron pills should help. If you're not already, make sure you take the iron on an empty stomach (if it doesn't bother you) and with Vitamin C to help the absorption (also, if you're on antibiotics, take them 2 hours apart from iron. Iron can decrease effectiveness). Try to sneak in iron in other ways - use a cast iron skillet, throw beans and extra spinach into your salad, etc. Heads up - on a not fun note, iron supplements can cause constipation :(.

    alright Yuck 3 mi

My legs felt good and strong, but the rest of my body was like NOPE. I felt like crap. The hot was so muggy and my body was just too tired and my stomach was wonky. Traveling wreaks all kinds of ha... read more

  11. RUN
good Hotel treadmill 6.47 mi 01:00 09:16 pace

It's definitely a sin to run on the hotel treadmill while in beautiful Utah, but I had some speed things to do, and it just seemed simpler to contain it all on the treadmill.

    5.82 mi 00:51 08:44 pace

Great run. Felt awesome. Took it easy on a run through my old neighborhood and ended with five 10-second sprints (with 1:30 rest between each). Everything outside smelled so springlike and flowery.

Funny - on my run tonight it smelled fall-like. I had to think for a moment what time of year it was! Great run, Krista!
