      No I didn't kick them but I scared them terribly - they slipped on the ice trying to run from me and once they got traction ran straight to the door of the home in which they live. Those dogs were very scared.

      I used it until I got to the point of using shoes that didn't have enough midsole. Then I went to cross country spikes. It's a bit of a strange ride on clear pavement but works surprisingly well on ice and is even a bit of a help on snow. As for snowy days, if you have problems with it sticking to the bottom of your shoes, spray them with cooking spray. Also works for shovels and snowblowers.

      I'll try using my strap-on spikes but I need to really secure them. They tend to slip off. I think I will also put some screws in the shoes just to be safe.
