alright Low Tide Beach Long Run 11 mi 01:45 09:32 pace

Wanted to do 2 hours, but got a blister on the back of my foot, and the soft sand sections were more plentiful than I expected. Still this was a good run.

Flat, hard pack for miles 1-2 and 8-11. The beach was at an angle and really soft in spots for miles 3-7. Ran from the CB Pier to Kure Pier and back, then to the point at Freeman Park and back. Told myself that I was going to get some sun and not worry about time -- sit back and relax. Last night's adventure with Shannon and Dave at K38 + up til 4 a.m. posting UNCW baseball online kinda made that a requirement.

Only downsides: The outside of my right foot wasn't terribly happy with me. Gave myself a small blister on my left heel from sock slipping down and the sand and shoe grating. Wind was nice and just enough to keep it from being ridiculously warm.
