      I'm no English major (but my wife is), but I think you use further when the distance is less tangible or measurable. So, I think farther would be more correct because you are talking about actual distance. Don't know if you were really asking for clarification, but there's my 2 cents. :-) Way to go getting out there and running again!

      Thanks for the info. LOL. I don't think I can run again. My foot hurt all day yesterday. Just isn't worth it. At least I can hike though. :)
