  6. Does anyone have suggestions for bottom/leg wear attire during a rainy race? I've got the upper half figured out ;)

Shhh....Wesley...it's NOT going to rain! Lol, 12 miles this past weekend was bad enough. I'll be in normal CWX compressions. Thankfully they don't hold rain. The less cotton percentage, the better.

I'd wear less than long tights. Capris, or even shorts. My experienced racing friend says the less, the better. If it quits raining, your skin will dry quicker than any fabric. You will warm up. You can always wear a pair of throw away sweats to the starting line, and discard them before the gun. My friend who ran Boston had a pic on FB showing his "throw away" pre-race outfit.

Thanks so much for all the info everyone--I think I will do my capris and throw another layer on top under my jacket to make sure I don't get too cold--being diabetic always throws the temp regulation off

YES, it is a fluke. I really believe you have to have a "bad run" before a race - it's like you're getting it out of your system! You'll rock it next week! Nice 8 today (especially those last five!)
