Could not sleep well last night, so took advantage of it, and ran early this morning. 3 miles as the sun was coming up.

A thoughtful run this morning, Michael. When travelling and the outside run choices aren't good, I like a good fitness center workout on the elliptical or the stationary bike just as much.

Nice plodding this morning :). For 9 years I traveled just about every week for my job, and was often uncomfortable running outside in unknown areas, so took advantage of fitness centers. I learned to like the tready, and the lipty was my go-to for cross-training. I also brought DVDs or watched YouTube videos to do stretch/strength workouts in my room. A light evening workout is a good idea to stave off unhealthy habits!

There is something really renewing about running in the rain. "It makes me feel alive" is what I told a fellow runner who also enjoys a run in the rain. Nice pace, and so so glad you got out the door. Sometimes that is the hardest part. Doesn't it make you crazy too? I mean, we LIKE IT! Why is it so hard ;-)

Good sub 30 on that hilly course Michael. I hope life related things continue to improve and get a little less challenging. Things like that do wear us down if we don't sometimes get a break. See you at the next race. Yes I hung around for a bit and then had to go, but you were only a few minutes back, so somehow we missed each other after.
