good TTR- Christmas Eve on the Honeybee trails 21.6 mi 03:20 09:15 pace

Good showing for the TTR run this morning. Maybe 35 runners in the new Honeybee parking area. Couldn't decide if I would just do the 12 mile loop or the longer 21 miler. Everyone else seemed to be wearing their trail running water vests, so- I didn't want to be the only one running short (turns out I was wrong about that). Donned my water, and missed the start as I was in the bushes, lightening the load. Lots of people got lost today as there are a lot of trail junctions-so, not surprising even tho Angela and Steven provided excellent maps. Made the point of loading the route into my Garmin, so I stayed on course. Anyway- legs felt iffy at the start, but finally warmed up- passed by the 5mi turnoff and committed to the longer haul. Very runnable trail and I felt pretty good, except for the last few miles where I was ready to be done. Overall- it went smoothly and looks like I once again overdid it for the week, as my bod really wasn't ready for a long run like that. Only a hurting a little.

Oh, that cracks me over 2600 running miles for 2017. My best... so far.
