Got up at WTF O'Clock to join my regular Tuesday running group. The muscles soreness in my quads had gone away and felt ready for my first post marathon run, However once I started- my right hamstring muscle surprised me by saying, in no uncertain terms, "No F-ing way!" Looks like it’s gonna be a few more days or weeks til I can run again. I've got a nice muscle tear in there. Fortunately, muscles heal well (unlike tendons and joints). Still, the PR was worth it. That's running.

Funny (demoralizing) thing, in looking at Strava this morning- Martha and Kristy ran faster without me than when they run with me! And all this time they made me feel like I push them. (fragile male ego crushed)

How long does it take for your ego to heal? Glad you didn't press it too much today. Congrats again on the PR and I hope your recovery goes well.

Ouch, that hurts. The ego, not the hammie, mind you.

Heheheheheeeeeeee - Then they must be blazing. That's the one thing I hate about the marathon; the recovery sucks. Torn hamstring? That makes your PR that much more special.
