      Good that you backed off. You have made a lot of progress. Don't jeopardize it now. 7.22 is good progress from where you were, especially with the runs you already got in this week.

      Nice race. I ran a similar race in the last November. I was not able to sustain my easy target pace beyond 25k. Since then, I signed up for two spring marathons & is trying to run sub 4 hour marathon first.

      At least you were able to get to the starting line and finish the race. I know how frustrating it is, after training so long and hard, to have things not go as planned or as hoped. I have had 2-3 that I ended up walking a big part of the last half. You gave it your all, and that is all one can do. There will be other runs and races ahead, and I know that you will have some memorable ones. I always find that my past struggles make the rebound that much sweeter! Stay strong, my friend!
