    Anne and Harvey at my house so we ran from there for a change. Canal to Awbridge, Flash Lane to railway and back along railway.

    Wet and muddy. Out across Compton Park, railway to Alpine Way, across to canal at Compton lock, back to meccano bridge and onto railway again.

    I have Harvey this week so no club runs. Through Compton Park to canal, along to Smestow and back via railway. Slow pace due to lots of waiting around for Harvey to sniff and explore - sigh!

    Railway to Castlecroft, track to Mopps Farm, back on canal. Legs felt tired after Sunday's race.

    Took the bus there and back which was a bit of a game as routes were diverted and the driver got lost. I had to help him do a 3 point turn in a country lane and then map read for him.

      Very funny that you had to direct the bus driver! You'll know about getting further to the front for next year - I've been caught up in the walkers (so many hand-in-hand, strung across the road!) before now - very frustrating. Hope you enjoyed the day - the spectators are great, although in other years we've had more supporters cheering up Cardiac, which would have been welcome!

    Pub run night and nobody to run with from my group so I joined the beginners group with Neil and Col. Very gentle plod down the railway and back along the canal.

      You do a good turn by dropping down a few gears and encouraging slower/newer runners, Gwyn, and it probably does you good too, to mix with some different faces.

    South along canal, through Redhill Park, rugby club, Merrions Wood, Chapel Lane, Barr Beacon, the Dingle, Hayhead Wood, Lime Pits, Arboretum. Last couple of miles were a real slog.
