    With Dominic, Carrie, Mark, Claire and Lucy Cambridge.

    Arboretum lake, Lime Pits, Hayhead Wood, Barr Beacon, back via back passage to canal to get Harvey clean. Legs tired last half mile.

    Hamstring much better after 2 days rest. Only a few twinges. Ran around Palmers Cross and Tettenhall with Rosey, Kees, Claire and Mark.

    Managed to get round our 10 mile route but very slowly due to sore right hamstring. Arboretum lake, Lime Pits, Hayhead Wood, Barr Beacon.

    injured Perton route fail 6.2 mi

    Top of right hamstring felt a bit sore to start and got worse. Turned back at Perton lights. Kept running most of the way but had to stop and walk a couple of times near the end. Not great.

      Hoping that this is just muscular - if so, ferocious massage should do the trick. I found that releasing tension in the glutes (by poking around and pummeling anything that hurt) and stretching out hamstring/adductor/glutes/sacral areas knocked my tight hamstring into touch,

    New route via Compton Park, Linden Lea, Westacre Cres, Meadow Road, York Avenue, Paget Road, Riches Street.

    Cut short as I was feeling a bit light-headed and generally weak. Got as far as the Lime Pits and came straight back along canal. Two failed runs in a row.

    First loop via Windermere Road, then up to Tettenhall, out along Wood Road, down the Holloway and back on Henwood Road.

    Out via Compton park, canal to Mopps Farm, over fields, back along railway to Compton then Compton Road to avoid Harvey's paws getting muddy again after a dunk in the canal.
