    Anne's back was a bit better but still sore so we did a short route around the lake and back.

    Set off with Anne & Harvey but having woken with sore back Anne had to give up and go home after just a mile. I carried on with Harvey and did the usual Lime Pits route.

      You can have fun with a 'left-right' run, turning at each junction as appropriate. Take bets with the group where you'll be after - say - five miles and then cut across the direct way back to base. :-)

      Not heard of that before. Wouldn't you just end up in a cul-de-sac? I like to know where I'm going, even if I make it up as I go along.

      It's a game that big bro @Gordon R. and I did (but walking) when we were young, just getting out the house to play - one of those 1970's games that would make any mother's hair turn white in this day and age! And cul-de-sacs do not count as a turn, obvs. ;-) :-)

    Aldersley to High Meadows and back, plus 30 minutes of hill efforts non-stop. Managed 12 laps, each about 480 metres. Achilles and hamstring both held out OK.

    Out via the Arboretum and Lime Pits, then to Hayhead Woods and following the route of last month's Poppy Run, as best we could.

      You did the right thing not to exacerbate your niggle, I think. Having been to the Molineux a number of times when I worked in W'ton, cheering on the reserves or U21 midweek games, I cannot think the this was in any way a 'scenic route' ;-)
