      I'm shooting for the Kal-Haven trail ultra in April--it's 33.5 miles. But man, this winter training is doing me in. I think as much as I actually love colder weather for running, I'll stick with fall stuff. All this snow and ice has been brutal. Hopefully when it's gone, I'll just fly but I don't know. Rough.

      Yes, it has been a tough winter for training due to the ice....I'm considering Hennepin 50 in the fall - have you heard much about that race? Of course, I've been on maintenance, so we will see how I feel when I start increasing my mileage....

      I thought I knew some people that did Hennepin but they did the Farmdale trail run right down by there instead. I've heard of Hennepin though and I think it gets good feedback. Fast and flat. Not a "real" trail but not paved. I have a friend that lives by there and thought about the 50k (I'm not interested in a 50 miler) but it's at night. Which is just really weird.
