  1. RUN
    Lunch treadmill 1.5 mi 00:14:45 09:50 pace

First run since the stupid ankle blew up again. It seems I'm ok if I keep it slow. Orthopedics appointment in a couple weeks.

Ankle - it's getting better slowly but still bothers me. I did 15 miles on Saturday and that didn't go very well - had to take a lot of walk breaks in the last few miles. I really wish I'd taken at least 6 weeks off when I first injured it.

  2. RUN
    Lunch run 2.92 mi 00:24 08:02 pace

First outdoor lunch run in months. Finally a spring-like day. It's so much easier to maintain this pace overground than it is on the treadmill. Must be momentum.

  3. RUN
    Treadmill? 5 mi 00:43 08:33 pace

Not positive, but I think this was a treadmill run at the gym. A late post by 2 wks.

  4. RUN
    Lunch treadmill? 2.5 mi 00:22 08:40 pace

Late post. I think this was during a lunch break on the treadmill.

  5. RUN
    Serg Training 6.3 mi 01:06 10:26 pace

Serg is in early training for his first marathon so we did 6 miles on his neighborhood roads as the rain changed to snow.

  6. RUN
    Lunch treadmill 3 mi 00:26 08:37 pace

    Late post

  7. RUN
    Bare pavement 3.77 mi 00:33 08:42 pace

I'm not a big fan of pavement, but the roads were finally clear of ice so I enjoyed a quickie without having to strap spikes or snowshoes to my feet.

  8. RUN
    Lunch treadmill 3 mi 00:26 08:39 pace

Didn't feel like running the planned 2 lunch miles, so I sucked it up and ran 3.

  9. RUN
    Lunch treadmill 2 mi 00:17 08:41 pace

Hit 7:30 pace for a bit. Fastest since my R ankle issues started last fall.

  10. RUN
    Snowshoe run 6.16 mi 01:10 11:20 pace

First run with Serg in a while. He's possibly doing his first marathon in May. I'd better kick him in the butt. 3 miles with Serg, then went back out for 3 more solo. Audubon trails were ... read more

  11. RUN
    Lunch treadmill 1.5 mi 00:13:11 08:47 pace

Short lunch break for a treadmill quickie.

  12. RUN
Treadmill and weights 5 mi 00:45 09:00 pace

Feeling good. Just no will to run outside in the cold today. 1-2% incline. After running: biceps, shoulders, triceps, chest.

  13. RUN
    Lunch treadmill 2 mi 00:18 08:58 pace

    More lunch miles.

  14. RUN
Day to night snowshoe run 5.88 mi 01:08 11:33 pace

First run since October on the Rockinham Rec trail. It looks a lot different than it did in the fall, with several feet of snow everywhere. The snowmobiles had it nicely packed allowing a floaty ru... read more

  15. RUN
    FFA Snowshoe 5K 2.71 mi 00:32 11:40 pace

Almost a full 5K. A clear but bitter day just before the mini-blizzard. The course was mostly squishy snow making it hard work running in snowshoes. 2nd place finish! Next year I think I will retur... read more

  16. RUN
good More treadmill hills 2.5 mi 00:24 09:24 pace

    2-10% incline.

    • Ova60runa

Good mill workout, Gil....I think many of us in NE are running on the mill these days! We're going running on a snowmobile trail tomorrow.

good Treadmill hills 2.5 mi 00:24 09:41 pace

2-6% incline. Prepping for snowshoe 5k this weekend.

  18. RUN
    Foster's pond snowshoe run 5.17 mi 01:04 12:25 pace

More training for upcoming snowshoe races. Tried blazing some trail on the frozen pond but it was so deep, my heart-rate was redlining after 1 minute!

I've been hill blazing a few times in the last couple of week, I get a 1/4 mile up the hill and I'm toast. Thankfully the way down in my own tracks is a little easier.

  19. RUN
Audubon snowshoe trail run 5.18 mi 00:59 11:26 pace

First run on these trails since the fateful 22 miler that led to my ankle's demise. It has since been resurrected and still recovering. Saw some snowshoe walkers and XC skiers. Plenty of unlea... read more

Dusk to night snowshoe run 5.17 mi 01:09 13:17 pace

First real trail run and first time in Musquash since September (ankle problem). Overlook, Betty Mack and White/Ravine trails were nicely packed by snowshoers and skiers, but the southern half of t... read more

Nice run Gil, I went out in snowshoes at 3:40 last week on Tuesday and I wore my headlamp just in case. Interesting looking trails only 30 minutes from me I may have to check it out sometime.

Sounds fun - I love snowshoeing...although I haven't tried actually running in them.

Rick, Musquash is great for trail running. Just avoid it in July/August (makes Bear Brook seem deerfly-free) and hunting season. Shelly, running snowshoes are smaller, about the size of kid's snowshoes. They are best used on packed trails.
