    Easy one with minor pain in the left hammy after a mile.

      The mistake I made when I had this problem was that, even though I tried not to do so, I favored that leg. It threw my back out and that ended up worse than the hammy. Advice is worth what you pay for it, but please watch out for that.

    Cool and overcast.

    Finally a run after 8 days off. Left hammy stiff so shortened the run.

    Completed 7th consecutive cycle. Road ride with several hills (at overpasses).

    6th bike day in a row. One more tomorrow then rest day Sunday.

    Rode with George who had not ridden in a while and has upcoming hip surgery in August. He tolerated the ride well and actually smoked me on the uphills.

      George is a great athlete but has a bad hip so he hasn't been able to run for a couple of years.
      @Karrie, I'm taking the week off from running to rest my left hammy and will get back to it on Monday. Playing it conservatively because I pulled my rt. hammy a year ago and was not well for 6 months.

    Then to Bible Study, then Central loop. Wed. night is buffet at Mt. Mikes.

    No pain on this ride with Bruce.

    Rode to test the hammy and had no pain riding the bike. Will probably stick to the bike this week along with foam rolling.

    Was sailing along until 1.75 miles from the end my left hammy cramped. I painfully walked and jogged to the finish. Hoping this will not linger.

    Smoky out there due to the Yolo fire up north. Will be running a 5K on 7/4 in Redwood City.

    Marshlands Rd. out and back. Bruce bought a bike Saturday and this was our first ride together!

      dude... I've seen this TWICE on a 5k. Crazy, isn't it? First time: same thing -- i was in the top 10, barely, when the cheerleading squad, who was supposed to tell us where to turn, were busy unanimously cheer-flirting with a high school jock coming in behind me, and failed to tell me where to turn! Second time: poorly marked first turn in the first 100 feet of the race through a town, and the entire top 25 went the wrong way, having to get called back!
