What have you learned from that workout you considered a failure?

  1. #dailymission What have you learned from that workout you considered a failure? That one workout doesn't mean jackshit in the grand scheme of things. It's all swings and roundabouts.

  2. #dailymission What have you learned from that workout you considered a failure? Try again, failure is only a stepping stone to success.

  3. #dailymission What have you learned from that workout you considered a failure? Don't go on an 8 mile run with a 1000 ft elevation change in July in Arizona when it is almost 100˚ and not brin... read more

Ouch, have no idea how you managed. Went out for a run at 1pm last summer at the beach in the blazing heat without eating or drinking that day. Started to pass out 4 times. Nice way to finish and hope the dog was ok!

Yeah he was I gave my dog most if not all of the water I had. I was so bad off by mile 4-5 that I kept having to sit down on the ground so I don't know how on earth I even got home without passing out. Probably should've called someone to get me but by the time I was within a mile or 2 of home I was just too stubborn&no one was home anyway

There are no failed workouts...there are simply some workouts that teach you more than others.

  7. #dailymission There is no such thing as failure; you're only learning another way *not* to succeed :-) I slipped on a wet gravel road and cut my hand on a run, and I got up and kept going for ... read more

Exactly! Like when I threw up 2 glasses of red, 3 crown and cokes and a plateful of butter chicken on the side of the road before my marathon and then ran a 3:10 eight hours later. It's all a learning experience!
