great North Waterdown 30.5 km 01:20 14.3mph pace

OMG, so cold. I wore dollar store gloves to start out, but even 2 layers of thumbhole + sleeves wasn't enough padding, my hands were in serious pain. So I switched to the cycling gloves and ... read more

  2. RUN
great River and Ruin side trail 8.05 km 01:08 13:39 pace

Headed up to Lowville for another new-to-me section of BT. The River and Ruin side trail was really great - not technical and flat, although very muddy.

  3. RUN
    great 10/22/14 7.25 km 00:42 09:15 pace

I needed redemption after last week's speedwork fail, so it was suggested to me that I try 4x800 @ HM pace (5:10-5:15/k). The splits are the pace, not the time per 800. Last 2 repeats were in... read more

I haven't done this video in awhile and it huuuuurt so good. I wish it wasn't 85 minutes long, but part of the reason why this video is my favourite is how thorough it is.

As suggested by Pranada D., I bought some magnesium cream and going downstairs this morning, my calves were noticeably less sore. I still had to stop a couple of times, but at around halfway, ever... read more

@pierre I also did the epsom salts bath on Friday night, after doing a scented/plain trade with @emma but it didn't help much, unfortunately. Although, time spent soaking in a warm bath reading a magazine is never time wasted.

Have to agree with your last line! But too bad it didn't help much. Maybe it had a delayed effect, triggered when you put the magnesium cream on! I'm kidding...

    blah BT/Escarpment Rail Trail 26.01 km 03:18 12:14 pace

I had 3 choices for LR routes today; I picked what ended up to be the worst of the 3. Double out and back from Stoney Creek - the parts that were runnable were excellent, but the other parts were ... read more

    tired 12K loop 12 km 01:11 09:34 pace

Another run brought to you by mapmyrun Route Finder. I need new calves, or a gastrocnemius-destroying deep tissue massage. One more run until taper!

blah Home TM 10 km 00:57 09:12 pace

This was supposed to be 8x800 @ 12.7 kph but I could barely hold 12.3 without dying so I bailed after 6 miserable repeats. To make things worse, the treadmill reset in the middle of the run AND my... read more

    good 10K home loop 10 km 01:00 09:39 pace
