    great 5/19/13 6 km 00:37 09:49 pace

Gotta find a way for family runs to work, since Mr. B refuses to stay in the stroller if he sees a playground. Thinking we'll try running to the playground, and then G and I can take turns fi... read more

Nice run, glad Amy was able to join you since I had to bail. I was tempted to go against orders and run anyway, but then I realized that would dumb.

I liked them...had to figure out how to raise the bar up with the smaller plates (35 lb bar with 15 lbs on either side - used 6 step risors). I could really feel my back activating.

I love how they activiate your glutes, hammies posterior chain and core while you are working your top end. Compound exercises for the win!

hmmm, I didn't pay enough attention to my lower body, although my abs were braced...I was distracted by a girl chest pressing 45 pounds in each hand.

  4. RUN
    great 7K loop - Brant - New - Drury... 7 km 00:42 09:39 pace

A beautiful day in the neighbourhood with Sam J. If it was this weather year-round, I would NOT complain. Glad I went with the short sleeves today.

Throwback Thursday - I played a crazy aerobics instructor in the school play. Life imitates art, something something. December 1989.

  6. RUN
    blah 3.5 mile - Queensway - Guelph... 5.6 km 00:34 09:43 pace

I was thinking about my fall goals, and now I am embarrassed to state them, because they seem way too ambitious, seeing how much slower I am compared to the rest of you.

Why would you be embarrassed? They're your goals, nobody else's! Shout it out, girl and be proud!

Slow, schmow, you're one of the fastest, and most importantly, driven runners I've met here on DM. Let's hear your goals. You can't get there if you don't own them.

  8. RUN
great Bayfront Park 6.44 km 00:39 09:42 pace

Family run. I pushed the stroller on the out portion, into the headwind. All I can say is Greg can run a hell of a lot faster than he thinks he can. Final 2 km splits: 5:41, 5:26.

  9. #dailymission Vietnamese food, ketchup kettle chips and wine. Not all at the same time.

  10. RUN
good Bronte Creek Trail 12 km 01:14 09:52 pace

No I am not ill, Rebecca E. I went trail running with Sam J. I don't consider Bronte Creek to be real trail running though..there are no tree roots, water crossings or shoulder deep mud.

Ah, your explanation is very persuasive, I agree with you not going on trail runs then! I used to have weak ankles but playing squash and rollerblading made a lot of difference for me. But bug bites -- yikes! Bugs used to never bite me, but I don't know if that still holds.

Fantastic race report! You did great! It's so huge when we have a monkey on our back that we can't get off, and you did that! Well done. Love the photos an that you all ran together, especially at the end! Well done.

Congrats Patty, on a fine race! You really did well, and finally, sub 4:15 - amazing! I do agree with Shawna, though, about your past-time; personally, I'm not one to care all that much about what I'm wearing and it probably shows. I'm also on a limited budget. So... sometimes that means man-shorts, LOL. But I'm no less of a runner because of it. And I certainly don't think anyone else is, either. ;)
