good Rail Trail/MEC Burlington Rac... 34 km 04:02 11:25 pace

Ran 3K before meeting up with Nicole M. We ran 17K on the rail trail. The first half felt ridiculously hard, and it was apparent when we turned around that the out portion was one of those sneaky ... read more

    good BT - Guelph Line/Mount Nemo 16.1 km 02:12 13:10 pace

Beautiful day, only slightly demoralized when a young whippersnapper wearing grey cotton sweats and cross trainers blew by me on top of Mount Nemo, I comforted myself by imagining that he was only ... read more

Right hip flexor is tight and uncomfortable; upper body is tired so I kept it really, really simple.

  6. RUN
    good BT - Blind Line/Britannia 13.13 km 02:00 14:45 pace

This would have been such a lovely run, except that I overdressed and I also did not bring water. This was me and my grape G2, acquired from a gas station post run:

good Home TM 11.27 km 01:06 09:25 pace

Same fartlek ladder as last week: 6 min hard/3 min easy; 5 hard/2.5 easy etc. The difference this week was each hard section was progressively faster.

  9. RUN
great Avon Trail Thru Run - St Mary... 31 km 05:03 15:45 pace

  10. RUN
    alright 4/10/15 13 km 01:20 09:53 pace

Had trouble keeping my HR down today, the total opposite of Wednesday's run. Maybe the stupid headwind was to blame.

  11. I am doing the MS Bike Tour in August. For those of you who don't know, my sister in law, Beki Scott, has MS. I chose this ride to raise money for something that affects our family. If anyone ... read more

Let the rear end recover... I have never heard of long term repercussions from a bruised backside, except for it throwing your form off so you injure something else. Nice workout today!

thankfully, I don't feel any pain in my ass when running, except if I have to climb over rocks.

OK watch out for the rocks then... could misjudge something if it stabs at the wrong moment.

  13. RUN
great Home TM 7 km 00:42 09:43 pace

Just an easy MAF recovery run on the TM. Heart rate was mostly in the low 140's. I actually had trouble even getting above 140 until I upped the speed a bit.

  14. RUN
good BT - Mount Nemo 12 km 01:25 11:21 pace

The most lingering pain from Saturday's adventurous run is the one in my ass, which makes itself known every time I take a big high step, so climbing the rocks at the summit of Mount Nemo was ... read more

Saw waaaay too many people out there today. And by way too many, I mean more than 0. Absolute mud soup in some parts, looked like WWI.

  18. VELO
    great Spruce 25.35 km 01:11 13.3mph pace

Got Audrey tuned up last week and she was smooth as butta. Thought I might be overdressed but with the slight breeze, I was comfortable.

I'm happy you're loving trails! Early spring before Mother's Day is the best time. Not so much fun when the mosquitoes come along though. As for the distance ambition... if you run steadily and don't push and aren't injured, it seems reasonable enough!
