  2. RUN
good Halton Regional Forest 12.87 km 01:38 12:13 pace

Parked at the usual lot off 6th Line, but explored new to me trails instead of doing the Hilton Falls loop. Great trail, all runnable, and the weather also cooperated for my 2-3-4-3-2 min fartlek ... read more

    good BT - Waterdown 8.3 km 01:08 13:10 pace

Maybe it was my imagination, but I thought it got slightly less humid as the run went on. What wasn't my imagination was that there were far less bitey creatures than Saturday, despite the te... read more

Ran the first loop with Alison but cut the 2nd and 3rd loops a bit short so had to add on at the end. Temps were very comfortable, but there were huge swarms of all kinds of insects chasing me. S... read more

Yikes! My companions were being eaten alive by deerflies when I was hiking in the woods today but they left me alone for reasons unknown. What an amazing long run today!

Swarms are no fun...I rode through crazy swarms along the parkway last week. People running and biking were shielding faces and eyes, it was hilarious. I hate when they bounce off your body while riding, it hurts! Anyway. Excellent miles with side of bugs. ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case, Patty. Or maybe I just don't emanate enough vapours because I'm fit compared to them? No idea.

Happy birthday! Good news about the successful and unmolested run! Maybe it was the party hat and noise maker and candles that kept them away?

good BT - Twiss to Mt. Nemo 14 km 02:13 15:16 pace

Crazy how all these parents drive their kids. Used to walk. My daughter walked. What's happened to the legs of the new generation? You got a good distance anyway, very respectable speed.

B's school is too far for him to walk, it's almost 5K away. He rides the bus, unless we are having a lazy morning, and then I drive him.
