Surprising number of mosquitoes still out. ARGH.

  2. RUN
    BT - Guelph Line 10.25 km 01:49 17:11 pace

Haven't run this section since the early spring, and I felt like I ran more of the hills than before (despite what the pace shows). No ankle pain while wearing the brace.

  3. RUN
    Plains 6.44 km 00:42 10:30 pace

Thought I'd get my road run over with early in the week, and everything was actually feeling fantastic when I tripped on a random chip of wood on the sidewalk, rolled my bad ankle and face pla... read more

Dammit! Sorry. Here's hoping the rest of your week makes up for it. ...and here's hoping the ice provides nearly magical healing!

Pierre, you know that I roll my ankle WAY more than once a year...more like once a month.

I know, Patty, and it's not good for you. I used to be like that when I was in my teens and 20s. I worked on strengthening it, but never really got completely strong until I started playing squash.

Showed Jana the wonders of BT, we ran 8K together, I drove her back to her hotel and continued near where we turned around. I explored a new side trail, so new that it wasn't on my map. The ... read more

  7. RUN
    4 mile loop - Brant - Lakesho... 6.44 km 00:41 10:11 pace

Road run/walk. I'm trying to make myself do 1 road run a week, to keep up some relative speed. But it was a bad idea after my ride yesterday..same shit: dogs, cars, people.

  8. VELO
Hamilton Beach Strip 27.68 km 01:19 13.1mph pace

Slow ride, I think 1 ride per week is enough for me, my butt hurt and I find dodging cars and dogs and people to be stressful.

When a teenager I used to tape a grain of sand into the heel of my shoe to train myself to mid or forefoot strike. When I told Alan T about this he told me I was crazy. But it worked. Glad you're feeling better, I was worried about your reports of so many pains.

I've only recently started heel striking on trails, which is why it was wreaking havok on my body.

Legs felt really good today. Hate to admit that the roads in Oakville are in so much better shape than Burlington.

Last night's yoga was so basic, it didn't do a thing for me. This wakeup flow was gentle but effective. I am really liking the small bits of yoga done throughout the week.

Don't mind me ignoring your yoga reports by and large... yoga means nothing to me whatsoever. I do some stretches that could be compared to yoga though. Glad it helped, for what it's worth.
