Lots of stuff on my mind that killed the mood. I also had to push LB, so my pace was crappy. I wanted to see how fast I could punch out 5 miles for an up coming race. I originally agreed to do this race because I was told there would be no pressure to run it fast. Now that has changed. So, I am going to let the team down. There were other things on my mind too, that have me a bit down. I was hoping the run would help, as it normally does, but I just feel worse. Just not a 'happy time' right now, I guess. We all go through them. I just hope this is short lived. I believe it will be.
My foot and hip hurt (Breaking in a new pair of kicks could be the culprit???) My quad felt fine, however, so that is good. Gonna try to spend the rest of the day cheering myself up.

Megan...there is no pressure. Go out there, run pain free, have fun. That's what it's about.

Keep it up! I don't know how old your baby is or how often you run with the stroller. But my son is 13 mos old, and when I first started back after he was born, I was pushing him at a 13-14:00 pace, and that was working HARD! These days, I'm running with him at an easy 8:30 pace and beating my own 10K PR with him in tow. Our bodies were made for making babies, and having them only makes us stronger, when we give them time to get there! So keep at it, race yourself, and do what YOU can do!

Thats nice to hear, Amy! LB is 9 mo old. I used to be able to do around 9pace for half marathons. I am not back to where I was.
