Rose at 4:30 to eat, send Susan off for work trip and then hit the bricks at 6:00. Even so, the temps were quickly soaring into the 80s and would hit 90s before my return. Pace was solid but loads ... read more

Way to soldier on. These are the outings that make a difference come race day. Quick question for you: On the FIRST program they have abbreviations but no key to tell you what they mean. I know somehow that PMP stands for planned marathon pace but I can't find the meanings for LT, MT, ST. I assume the T is tempo? Medium Tempo? Slow Tempo? There isn't a key anywhere that explains what these are. Do you know?

  7. RUN
good Historic Downtown Evansville 17 mi 02:32 08:57 pace

Longest and hottest run of the year, but perhaps not the hardest. Tried to get out early but think that 4:00 am is the only safe time in terms of heat. Regular temps were only 89 but index pushed i... read more

Way to go, maing! I haven’t begun the FIRST training yet. It’s going to be difficult to work it in with my schedule the next few weeks. I just have to do the best I can.

I still haven't incorporated the interval training yet and am behind on the overall schedule but my buddy says don't worry about it.
