Yes, it was just another day for me doing what I do. But I nearly did not run today. At least not until our dailymile friend, Btb (Bob) reminded me that if I did not run, it would upset the entire infrastructure of the universe. So, I had to run in order to save the universe.

You're welcome!

I guess I am now a superhero. And like every superhero, I need an appropriate name. I've settled on JOGGERNAUT. Pretty good, huh? I think it has a better superhero-ish ring to it than Skunk Hunk or the Flying Pixie.

Man, was it ever HOT out there today! I got out of school early today because of a noon dismissal and went down to the river. It's also very windy today. By the time I got done, my face and shorts were dusted in a fine coat of salt. Apparently my vegetarian diet is no less heavy in sodium than my carnivorous diet was!

And Bob, take comfort in knowing disaster has been averted once again! You won't have to retreat to your emergency shelter just yet.

Nice to see you got a hot one in today. Hopefully that will lead to a nice and leisurely pace tomorrow!

@ Erich - Yeah, I think I can pretty much guarantee I won't want to run any where close to 7:28 pace tomorrow!

Thank you Winston! Don't be surprised if you get a phone call from the producers of "The Avengers" movie to appear in the sequel. But I was kind of looking forward to retreating to my shelter. I just restocked it with a fresh supply of Mountain House freeze dried meals and wanted to try the chicken teriyaki. I guess saving the universe takes precedence though. Well done.

Aw shucks, Bob, it weren't nuthin. That's what I do. But I think this calls for a shelter retreat and Mountain House freeze dried feast nonetheless. Shoot, you deserve it because if it weren't for you, I might not have saved the universe today after all! And I think this calls for the turkey tetrazinni rather than chicken teriyaki! I'll celebrate with veggie lasagna!

I'm good with anything between 8-9. And also anything between 9-10.

@ Becky - Joggernaut needs no cape nor mask! But I have been known to duck into phone booths in suit and tie and reappear in shorts and running shoes. Okay, well, let's be honest, there aren't many phone booths around these days, so I usually run into the AT&T Store and change in their restroom.

@ Matt - If you join us in the morning I'll try to use my super powers to keep the wind at bay. It's a technique I call "breaking wind"!
