300 m warmup, 12x50 m hard with 15 sec rests, 100 m easy, 100 m hard, 200 m cool down. I was just reading that you're not supposed to hold your breath, and I do that a lot so I concentrated on breathing through each stroke. I also learned that I'm quite a bit faster when I breathe every 4th stroke and increase my stroke cadence rather than alternating sides and breathing every 3rd stroke, which is more comfortable for me. This swimming thing is complicated. :-)
I love swimming at the Rec Center pool - the temp is always perfect and the water is so clear. Best of all, none of these:
