alright New Shoes Road Test! 3.01 mi 00:39 13:03 pace

Road-testin' my new kicks! My new Brooks Pure Flow arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to give 'em a try. They're really comfy but quite different from my Ghosts. The bulk of the cushioning seems to be in the mid-foot area, which I loved, but my feet felt tired after a mile or so - clearly, I need some time to get used to them. Weather was gorgeous and mild; I shouldn't complain but I'm from MI and need my 4 seasons! Just an OK run again, still feeling a little run-down. I'm hoping it's just all the traveling I've been doing. Also hoping to catch up on dailymile soon - work keeps getting in the way. :-P Hope everyone is well - I miss you guys!

Nice 3 Kim. I grew up in MI as well. And they can have it.

Still a nice 3 miler Kim. Take it easy, given the travel, and run naked (w/o watch) to get the enjoyment and fulfillment back. Going to DU next week.

I know, I want winter here. Are they a lightweight shoe? Looking good on the test run!

Kate - yes, they're pretty lightweight. The Flow has more support than say, a Kinvara, but it's still lighter than a regular shoe. The toe box is also a little narrower...

Nice run in the new kicks Kim. If I traveled as much as you have, I'd be dead tired too.

Terrific 3 in your new kicks! I'm sure it is the travel... once you're home for a while and rested, your runs will probably rock again :)
