    good 7 mi 01:15 10:42 pace

Nice long run this morning. I was not sure where I was going to run, but had a general direction. My plan was to run something between 5 and 8 miles, and I ended up with a seven mile run. Not too b... read more

  2. RUN
    good 4.51 mi 00:51 11:20 pace

Ran a very hilly course. Slowed my time and gave me a cramp in my calf at around the 2.5 mile mark. Stretched for a bit, walked a short amount until it went away and was able to run again after tha... read more

  3. RUN
    good 3.11 mi 00:31 10:00 pace

First try at running predawn. Hard to run when you can't see the sidewalk, but I found many other runners were out. Nice easy run to start my day.

Since when are jobs more important than races? Priorities, Ken, priorities. Hope the move and job work out for you.

Thanks everyone. I know it was tough to accept the job knowing I would not be able to run the Half, Sometimes tough decisions have to be made though. I am sure there will be others in san diego for me to run. Sure is a lot of work just to get a 13.1 sticker for my car....

great Nice fun five mile run 5.01 mi 00:50 10:01 pace

Just had to get out and run today. It was so nice and cool this morning. Actually, the first mile was really cold, but then I warmed up and felt great.

  6. RUN
good Neighborhood VFF run 3.3 mi 00:33 10:00 pace

Wanted to run 4 miles and thought I would try a new route, which I thought would be at least 4 miles. I was definitely short, but that is OK. Was still a nice run.

  7. RUN
    good 7.01 mi 01:17 11:00 pace

I think it went pretty well. Seven miles is a long way. It was like I ran one mile and then thought, "I only have two 5ks left to go." But, it felt good over all and I was glad to be out ... read more

Lots of good water stops in town. But you should be thirsty at the end of a run. Nice job. You are really building back those legs.

Thanks! I was expecting to run around 30 minutes, so I was very surprised that my time was so fast, and the pace below 9 minutes really a surprise for me.

      Mike Nice Job
      Nice Job:

I'd go with the regular shoes -- no since taking a chance after the hard work you have put in to get back to running. And you're already pushing it a bit following up this run with a 5k.

True, true. I think that is what I will end up doing. I'll have to schedule a different 5K to run in vffs.

  15. On a regular, non hilly run is a avg heart rate of 152 and a max rate of 167 on target? Is that about where a normal run should be, or should I be pushing harder to bring those numbers up?
