Lol. Well he almost kept up with me for 5-6KM, and he gave up at the toll booth. His tyres were huge, I felt sorry for him and didn't really push - I think he would've given a good fight on a road bike :)
(sorry, it was OMR/Uthandi toll, not ECR)

Hi Vamsee, I suggest you to get your cleats adjusted in a manner where you can yank it out with the slightest twist. There is an adjustment behind the cleats to do this. Ride like this for sometime until you get used to the cleats and then you can tighten it to hold on to your shoe firmer. The firmer adjustment comes in handy only when you stand out of the saddle and spirint where you pull the pedals up on the upward stroke; otherwise the loose setting would do especially given our road conditions.

Take care and I hope your rash heals fast. Yes it takes a while to get used to road tires and you have to be careful especially when it rains , I now have 19c tires on my bike which is even thinner than the 23c and thinner than the tubulars I used to ride on earlier. Im doing my test on stability. So far so good. It still is a nightmare with the cleats on when you cross junctions and one needs to very careful though. I prefer the earlier one with the straps on which I did most of my racing on but i suppos

Thanks Vibha. There was a nice bump with a small swelling yesterday, but took good care of it and it looks much better now. Wow, 19c tires! I'm guessing you're using some strong wheels to take all those bumps and vibrations our roads give. I'm not really planning on taking out the road bike during the rains - I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble. I'll just get a hybrid (sold the ACT110 I had, crappy equipment) for rains and bad road rides.

Oh, my Topeak RoadMorph really saved my ass today. I would've been dead by the time I inflated the tube with my earlier minipump. This one hardly took a dozen pumps to get it up to almost full :)
