  1. goodStationary Bike 4.64 mi / 00:21 13.3mph pace

Finally got in my first ride on the new stationary bike. The first few minutes were a bit tough, but overall it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Definitely upped my energy level and I worked up a nice little sweat. Now...lets see if I ca... read more

  2. My stationary bike was just delivered. YAY!!! ;-)

  3. Hey everybody! I'm still around, but it seems that little yoga session did more harm than good; think I tried to do too much too soon and I paid a price for it. I've been in pain all week, but I'm feeling quite a bit better now. Yoga is out for the mom... read more

  4. goodReturn to Yoga: 1st Session 00:45

A bit difficult, but I feel good w/more energy. My core is SO weak; lots of cramping in my back, but I'm please to have finally started again.

Thanks, Rob. Unfortunately, that little yoga session seems to have done more harm than good; think I tried to do too much too soon. Yoga is out at the moment, but not to worry, I have a new stationary bike being delivered tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.

  6. Hello to all my DailyMile friends! Just popped in to let y'all know I'm still around. Sorry I've been out of touch; had major surgery on Sep 1 and I'm still home from work recovering. All went well, but I won't be able to really start exercising for a ... read more

  7. blah 00:30

Finally restarted my yoga practise. Managed to finish the session, but it was brutal. I am so out of shape! ;-(

  8. good 00:30

Yoga practice. All was fine until I started cramping and having muscle spasms about 30 mins in. Felt good overall, but couldn't complete the 45 mins. Very disappointing. Will eat some high-potassium fruit and veggies and try again tomorrow. ;-(

Nice job for what you were able to do. I'd love to give a try at yoga. It is so much harder then it looks though. I hope everything went well. (I know this is a late comment, sorry)

  9. good 2.5 mi / 00:34 13:35 pace

Nice run/walk this morning (out at 5:20); finally started my walk-to-run programme. Surprised at how good I felt during and afterward. Sweated like crazy, sinuses went berserk and made me a bit nauseous, otherwise very nice. And with no music! Thinking... read more

Thanks, Queen! I'm not sure about the accuracy of the mileage. I've never actually clocked the distance of the path to verify it. Relying on my pedometer readings, but I'm not sure I really trust those things. Looking at the Garmin Forerunner this very moment. Trying to decided which one I want. Nothing is completely accurate, but I believe GPS is much more liable.

Congrats on the mileage and feeling good about it! Have you ever looked at http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/ ? I use that to get a rough idea of my mileage on a run I haven't measured. I'd love to get a Garmin though. :-)

Thanks, Rob. I'm slowly working my way into running again. I went over and looked at the gmap, but have no idea how to work it. I tried to enlarge the map so that I could see my area, but nothing.
