  1. goodSuck it up Cupcake! 5.01 mi / 00:40 07:57 pace

Really did not want to run in the the wind today but I am glad I did. Even though the wind was brutal to push through it was sunny and I know I enjoyed my run much more than I would have if I was on the treadmill.
    Plan called for 8 X 400 at 5K (7:02 m... read more

I am doing some speedwork tomorrow as well. We will do it indoors since the temp will be around 19 and the wind is pretty wicked tonight. Will have some fun on a basketball court actually.

  4. goodYoga/ Strength/recumbent 01:30

I opted out of a run or a ride today because my knee/ITB has been hurting a bit since my run on Saturday. I did still do my strength/core workout plus a yoga workout. I also rode the recumbent bike on low resistance for 30 minutes to warmup.

Me and my bike.. we are becoming fast friends.

  6. goodFamily Ride 5.18 mi

Fun. We all got on our bikes and went for a ride. Stopped at the park to let the kids play..gloomy day but it was still good to get out and do something together.

  7. Garmin Question? For some reason when I run and bike my workouts will not upload to RunningAHEAD or Garmin Connect. Does anyone have any idea why that is?

    • Athletetraining Athletetraining

It's possible sometimes a record of an activity on the device can become "corrupted", thus preventing data from being uploaded. You can delete all activities or do a hard reset of the device (which will clear all your settings, activities, etc) to fix the problem. However, I don't recommend those solutions until you've tried all the other alternatives!

The multisport workouts will upload to Garmin Connect. However, they will not display in the upload list. You have to select "upload all new activities" and then if you go to your Activities list or Calendar view, you will see them there (I found this out quite by accident after also assuming this past summer that they would not upload).

Thanks for the responses...Sheila you were right I found them when I look at the Activities list..Like you said they did not show up in the new activities list so I assumed they were not uploading.

  8. goodNeighborhood and trail ride 12.06 mi / 00:54 13.4mph pace

Felt good on the ride. It was a bit windy...didn't really bother me on the run but I could really feel it on the bike. Loose dogs on the trail really make me nervous...they always seem to jump out right in front on the bike and I have to swerve...I c... read more

That takes a little getting used to. I was a little nervous yesterday but just did it and it went well suprisingly. I know there will be jerks every now and then but at least everyone yesterday was nice.

  9. goodRecovery Run 3 mi / 00:28 09:20 pace

Took it really easy and tried to keep my HR low, I thought below 160 would be good. This is how slow I had to run to keep it that low..ugg. Hopefully taking it easy will help me feel stronger on my speedwork days.

Awesome job. Keep up the great work!

I think you are so awesome that your "running super slow to keep HR below 160" pace is a 9:20. I'm in awe of you! Great job doing the smart runner thing :-)
