Mile Repeats 5.34 mi 00:41 07:44 pace

The family came to Wilco with me this morning. The kids played tennis while we ran on the track. Jogged with my hubby to warm up and then tried to do some fast miles (I took about a minute of complete rest between) My breathing was off and my body felt slow.. during the second one I almost cried because I felt so discouraged. (7:30, 7:28) I asked my husband to run with me for one lap during the third repeat..He jumped in on the 3rd lap and that really helped. (7:01) I finally felt like I got a solid mile in but it still wasn't as fast as I wanted to be so I tried one more. I latched on to a guy who was running 800s for my first two laps, did a lap on my own and my husband ran the last lap with me. I was really happy with the results on this last one, I ran one of my of my fastest miles ever if not the fastest. (6:36)
No knee pain today, I am guessing this is because I didn't run more than 6 miles and because I had rest/walk breaks between intervals.
After the run we went over to the tennis courts and "played" tennis with the kiddos. Really fun morning!
No knee pain today.. I am guessing because I didn't go over 6 miles.

It may have been a struggle to lock into the pace you hoped for but you had some impressive times for your miles. Plus, any run you can accomplish without the knee pain is a blessing. Don't push yourself so hard; you'll get that mojo back. In the mean time, enjoy these injury free miles. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
