good to work 3.04 mi 00:20 9.2mph pace

Ride went well. I'm so glad I got out of bed to do this for day 2. I would have regretted it majorly if "eased" into this, as my husband was sure I was going to do.

  4. RUN
good Ran on the trail with the boy... 2.26 mi 00:32 14:09 pace

  6. RUN
    good 2.22 mi 00:30 13:30 pace

Week 2 day 1 of the couch to 5k went well. I have to ease back into the swing of things. I had forgotten why I stopped running last year and then remembered that I fractured my foot. Good reason, r... read more

    great 148th 15.02 mi 01:20 11.3mph pace

Getting across the freeway was a big convoluted mess and wasted my time. I need to choose a better route to get to the other side. Yikes. Anyhoo, my second bike ride in 2.5 years wasn't so bad... read more

Great Ride! It is a very hilly route..I haven't done that in 5 years on the bike but I love the ride back on Newport.

Is the bus an option? You could take your bike to work on the bus and ride it home till you feel up to going both ways. Heh, I said go both ways. :)

Thanks. Racrmom2. It was so pretty today back there too. I also needed the breeze because it was actually hot.

Michael, would you believe it's hilly both ways. I mapped out one of my choices for routes home tonight and it's not the one for me. It has a huge, ginormous hill. I'll be finding another way home.

tuesday. It's just over 12 miles each way so it should take me a little less than an hours. Definitely faster than running it at my pace.

  11. RUN
good around the block 1.74 mi 00:28 16:11 pace

Took the husband for a walk. My legs are still pretty sore from the other day, but I'm excited to have got him out of the house. We're going to try and make this an everyday thing.

  12. RUN
good work to home 12.94 mi 03:15 15:04 pace

Tired and I wished I would have had the foresight to bring water, however my backpack was really full and I didn't want any more weight on my back.

Awesome! Congrats on your first "nude" run. :)

I'll be really interested to see how much barefoot vs. VFF running you decide to do. For me the balance is shifting toward barefoot, though my longer runs are still in VFFs. Barefoot Ted wrote about VFFs being a "Trojan Horse" for barefoot running. I wonder if that will prove true for you and me?

thanks! The trail is asphalt, pretty smooth with just a few rough spots and a little uphill. Also, it's a teen hangout so I was watching the ground pretty closely. It was great though.

  17. RUN
good Mt Park 3.81 mi 00:54 14:10 pace

  18. RUN
    great 6 miles 6.42 mi 01:27 13:32 pace

All hills again. It's fun to find out where the roads in my community go by running them. I felt good on this walk/run. I even ran up more hills than last time. Yay! for progress.
