    Ride went well. I'm so glad I got out of bed to do this for day 2. I would have regretted it majorly if "eased" into this, as my husband was sure I was going to do.

      Great Ride! It is a very hilly route..I haven't done that in 5 years on the bike but I love the ride back on Newport.

      Is the bus an option? You could take your bike to work on the bus and ride it home till you feel up to going both ways. Heh, I said go both ways. :)

      Thanks. Racrmom2. It was so pretty today back there too. I also needed the breeze because it was actually hot.

      Michael, would you believe it's hilly both ways. I mapped out one of my choices for routes home tonight and it's not the one for me. It has a huge, ginormous hill. I'll be finding another way home.

      tuesday. It's just over 12 miles each way so it should take me a little less than an hours. Definitely faster than running it at my pace.

      Awesome! Congrats on your first "nude" run. :)

      I'll be really interested to see how much barefoot vs. VFF running you decide to do. For me the balance is shifting toward barefoot, though my longer runs are still in VFFs. Barefoot Ted wrote about VFFs being a "Trojan Horse" for barefoot running. I wonder if that will prove true for you and me?

      thanks! The trail is asphalt, pretty smooth with just a few rough spots and a little uphill. Also, it's a teen hangout so I was watching the ground pretty closely. It was great though.

    wow, we walked/ran, but mostly walked this because my foot is still on the mend. We wanted to see how 10 miles felt. We got a lot further than I thought we would but it was awesome.
