    Treadmill 3 mi 00:29 09:31 pace

Last day of training - resting my heel for two days and then hot West Palm Beach - thank goodness it starts at 6am - and here I thought it might be a "cooler" race.

  7. RUN
    Treadmill 3 mi 00:28 09:28 pace

One more run and then 2 days of rest before Palm Beach Half Marathon. Dealing with a heel injury - a little perplexed but lots of ice and TSI machine.

I know that injury is frustrating. Instead of obsessing over the frustration, focus on the good things in your life that make the frustration possible. Instead of letting the frustration get you down, let it push you toward taking thoughtful, beneficial action. Many times, your frustration can point you clearly and compellingly toward changes that will greatly benefit your life. Often, your frustration can help you to better understand what you truly care about. I believe in you!

Struggle? Have you thought of all that you have pushed through? You are really amazing. It is you who inspire me....The obstacles of your past are nothing but gateways that lead to new beginnings. Even when you feel like quitting, you step forward with renewed energy and you give more. Thank you for personifying persistence, fulfilling your best possibilities in the process. I'll always be thankful for you.

Best run! My last 3 miles (5k was 28 minutes). When your GPS tells you that you got an award for fastest 5k on record - how could that not be a great run? And the 5k was the last 3 miles.

Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude. It is the result of caring about what you do, and of putting your very best effort into what you care about. Excellence is an outward expression of inner integrity, and few things are more valuable than that. Excellence is the unlimited ability to improve. Excellence is you, Tracie.

You are too kind. You know I struggle but I have found my passion in running. It is not always easy for me and when I can't run I break down emotionally. But I am human. I want to do my best and accept the limitations life gives me. It is accepting the limitations and still moving forward that I consider excellence. My word for you is INSPIRING!

I parked at the stadium, went up Bay street, crossed the Acosta bridge, followed San Marco Blvd, turned around at 4 miles but I needed another mile so I crossed the street (i always go against traffic) and turned into a neighborhood. When i came out I thought I was on San Marco Blvd until I reached the Metro Diner and realized I was going the wrong direction and was on Hendricks. Let's just say - directions is not one of my talents.
