Ugh. You know that song from the old Disney cartoon Alice in Wonderland? "I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it..." That's totally me. I was just telling Anne yesterday that we all have bad runs and today was my turn. I probably should have stayed in and fought off the rest of my cold but it's SO GORGEOUS outside and I hear it's going to get cold this weekend so I didn't want to miss out on 60 degree weather. I had 8 miles planned for today, figured I'd try for at least 6 due to the head cold and ended up barely getting 4 in and then walking the rest of the way home. Heavy legs, congestion, stomachache (thanks to cookies and coffee I had right before going out- ooops!) I know, I know. "Listen to your body!" I think I may have to let go of the idea of 40 miles this week. I've still got my 17 on Saturday but I won't cry if I don't get more miles tomorrow.

Sometimes we get so caught up in the end goal, we forget to enjoy the journey.......no matter what that "end goal" may be. Enjoy each day, we all have bad ones but the best part of the whole thing is tomorrow you get to wake up and START ALL OVER!!!! YOu can do whatever you put your mind to tracey! You can do this!!!!
