Sunny & cold, temps in the 30s °F. Took this at a "run forever" pace. Really need to get my foot x-rayed, but I don't want to be told not to run my marathon, 4 weeks this Sunday. Blah.

Tom - you might get good news from the Doc, that you just have some inflammation - doesn't have to be all bad news :) - running on a stress reaction however for 26.2 miles .... that could mean stress fracture, means no running for 6 months, means unhappy Tom ....

eh... I disagree with Joe. I haven't found doctors to be of much use when it comes to running injuries. Listen to your body- it will tell you if you can run or not. In the mean-time, it's not uncommon to have to give up some of those peak running weeks in order to make the starting line. Decide if you'd rather run the marathon at a pace that's less than you might have been able to do, or go for broke prior and not make the start.

Thanks guys. I think I'll take my foot to the sports doc, she always wants to let me keep running if I can. Might be best to find out if I should at least run JUST my quality runs and bike/lipty/swim the rest of the week. Bah. Silly foot.

I know what you mean...2 weeks before my half in October was when I had to call it quits for my knee. Make sure you take care of yourself. You don't want to injure yourself and not be able to run again...
