How not to do a long run. By, yours truly. Stay up late after a couple of martinis the night before, don't fuel, don't hydrate, attempt your longest distance in almost a year. Yeah, sounds like a bad plan. Honestly, I felt fantastic for the first six miles of this - which I think made me get a little overzealous with the route. I was just making up the route as I went and think I added a little too much. Tried to keep it around 9:30s - which I was able to do until the last couple of miles. Once I made that last turn, I just wanted to get home and get something to drink. Felt encouraged by the first part of my run, so will just be smarter about the longer distance and planning next time. Splits: 9:16, 9:20, 9:31, 9:28, 9:30, 9:30, 9:21, 9:28, 9:46, 9:58.
