It was a good ride. I got out so late. I actually was unmotivated too. Once I got going I just kept going. I have to admit I was thinking of getting 50, but then just mentally stopped at 43. I... read more

Great ride but sorry for the pain in the bum!! I assume you use something like Chamois Butt'r on your rides. I didn't when I first started riding because I wasn't having any chaffing issues. My bum was very sore though. I started using it and was amazed that my severe pain turned into a dull discomfort. Eventually, it pretty much disappeared. (Or maybe I just lost all feeling!) ;-) Great ride on the heals of the huge ride yesterday. Great job!!

Great ride Tammy. Maybe a different seat? Our bodies are always changing or adjusting. Maybe the position of your seat moved or you just may need to try a different style or position?

Yes, that does make sense. My problem wasn't chaffing per se either. It felt like sore butt bones. But the Chamois Butt'r helped tremendously. There are many brands out there. I suspect they are very similar. Give it a try. Nothing to lose certainly. :-)

Great job Tammy!! Excellent tm miles. I know how hard this can be, but your approach seems to be a good one. I think the only way you can manage this is one day at a time. I know that sounds corny, but it does seem to work. Not that you can't or shouldn't have longer term goals.
