Wow - sorry you had to go thought that. I'm sure that truck driver is also stuck with images in his head that he would rather weren't. It's a good thing to keep in mind - none of us are invincible out there, even when we're just walking.
5 months agoCaleb, I feel so sorry for the truck driver. Even though he couldn't have avoided it, I can't imagine how he feels. A lady and her 8 yr old son in front of me saw it happen. They were both hysterical when I ran past them to get to the victim. I was taking my 11 yr old and 2 of his friends to football practice. Even though I had them stay in the car to protect them from seeing everything, they saw too much.
5 months agoWow. What a horrible experience that must have been for you, and you son and friends too. It reminds us all how important it is to be careful, and how quickly life can change. Witnessing things like that can shake you up quite badly - take it easy for awhile. Thoughts are with you.
5 months agoThanks for sharing this with us. Yes, it is a difficult reminder of how fragile we are and how blessed we are to be alive. My prayers go out to his family. Additionally, it is a credit to you that you kept your head and immediately acted in the face of such a tragedy. My best to you and Leah.
