Yep, and it was on the participants list that I found you. I'm hoping the downhill will tip me over the edge to a sub-three! My wife is running the half. I grew up in Edgemont near Timp View High School, so it's familiar territory. Do you have any wisdom to share about the course?

It's a little more hilly in the middle than the elevation map lets on. But the last 6 miles are pretty flat, making it a nice cruise to the end. Mostly, just enjoy it because it's a beautiful course :)

Yassos are a bear. Six at that pace are pretty impressive. Heck, one at that rate is pretty impressive. Looks like you'll be ready on the 8th.

Tim, don't be fooled by elevation maps. Trust me when I tell you there is much more than "only a mile of uphill segments." The middle 13 miles of this course are tough, with several steep and long up hills. The first seven miles are a piece of cake, though.

Thanks Trent. I've driven the route a million times but never run it. The trip around Deer Creek looks the toughest. Others have told me it was their easiest/fastest marathon. But I'm glad I'm practicing uphill as well as downhill! Hope to see you there.
