You don't often get to run with your heros in this sport, but I did today!
Nick had business in Denver, so I decided to tag along and see if my DM friends could meet up. As long as I could meet them at BCOD (4:45am) they were in. Since I am part crazy, this sounded doable. Rick, Chuck, Jon, Jen and I all had about 20 on our "plans".
The run kicked my a$$. Usually the hills don't get the better of me- today was different. I think Jen asked me several times if I was "okay". I was "okay" when we finished! Actually it was amazing. Beautiful scenery- watched the sun rise!, awesome smells- was that cow or bison?, and fantastic company. Only regret- we missed having Aj on this run, but I hope to catch him next time. I did say a little "hello" as we passed by his dark house.
Thanks gang. Such a treat for me. See you in the Big Apple!

So when are you moving here to be a full time part of "the crew"? I was truly impressed and inspired by your strength today. You never showed any sign of struggle and always had a smile on your face. Not enough time to get to know you as much as I'd like, but we'll have another chance in NYC. Thanks for joining us and thanks a TON for the coffee and caramels. Delish!

Glad that you were able to meet us at the BCOD this morning Tamara. It was nice to meet you in person and thank you for the gifts. You did a great job tackling the CPN hills at altitude this morning. I look forward to running NYCM with you. I hope that you have a good time during the rest of your stay in Denver.

So awesome to meet you and enjoy the pleasure of your company this morning, Tamara! You were quite the trooper to agree to 20 miles at well over 6000' elevation with tons of hills. Very impressive to get this done. Looking forward to NYCM -- now more than ever!!

Sorry I missed you T, with the kids sports it was a crazy morning! Then we headed straight for the mountains to enjoy the beautiful day and fall colors! It sounds like you fit in well :). I could have only held this crew back today.

HERO= YOU! So impressed with your running, and you more than fit in with our crazy crew. You are definitely our sista from the Coast. What a GREAT day. Your can do attitude, mixed with just a bit of spice and sarcasm, was totally terrific. For reals. Can't wait for more!

Good job ms Tamara. Sounds like you came from sea level and hung for 20 at altitude with the locals? Impressive indeed. Btw, I lived in boulder for 10 years (during my ironman and ultra phases) and much prefer California, never looked back...

How awesome that you got to run with them! Great job on the 20. That had to have been tough at a higher elevation!
