  2. RUN
good 16M in Da UP 16 mi 02:15 08:26 pace

23* felt like 12* with snow flurries. 1-2" of light powder fell overnight which made for some tricky footing at times. Lap paces were consistent for first 8M. Pushed a little from 9-12. Beauti... read more

Oh yes! God's country indeed! So peaceful and quiet up north. Great to be away from the city life for a bit.

  4. RUN
Cut Back LR 11 mi 01:31 08:15 pace

22* (felt like 9*) at start and the LRT was not cleared from Jolly to Hawk Island, which helped keep the warmup mile slow, but hurt on the cooldown mile. Miles in between were relatively consistent... read more

Nice work! I was on the River Trail today and had a tough time with the footing. Around Potter Park it was clear but east of it to MSU was still covered. You training for a spring race?

MSU side of trail is never cleared after snowfall. Flying Pig Marathon is Spring 'A' race.

  5. VELO
good Indoor Trainer 8.4 mi 00:30 16.8mph pace

Easy spin shakeout. Ready for a cold snowy long run tomorrow.

  6. RUN
    good 7M 7 mi 00:54 07:45 pace

Run was good. Changed up some streets on a usual route. Glasses kept fogging up which sucked so I had to take them off and got pelted by snow in the eyes which sucked even more.

  7. RUN
    HILLS R4 HEROS 7 mi 00:54 07:43 pace

1.4mi W/U from Hawk Island to Mt. Hope Cemetery. 4 x 1mi figure eight loops with 3-4 small hills and 1 large (.2mi). Sprinted up the large hill and pushed up the other hills. Intervals times: 7:13,... read more

  9. RUN
    good Recovery 5.5 mi 00:51 09:19 pace

Took advantage of the beautiful Mrs. being able to run with me, so I wound up doing more than scheduled. Oh well, I'll just trim it off of a run later in the week.

  10. RUN
good LRT & MSU Long 14 mi 01:58 08:27 pace

31* at start and certainly could have gotten by with shorts. Everything felt awesome. Even had something left in the tank to drop the hammer for the final two miles.

  11. FIT
    good Ice Skating 01:30

Been about a year since I've been skating, but it doesn't take long to get back into the swing of things. And it's quite the leg workout.
