Coming off an inspirational high from IMLP, one of my next goals for this year is to BQ in September during the VIA Marathon. I have not done speed work in sometime, simply because it wasn't the immediate goal, but it is now.
Last night right before bed I read an article about various types of progression runs.
Well...it was on my mind when I woke up...so here's how it went;
1 9'06"/mi 123BPM
2 8'25"/mi 137BPM
3 7'46"/mi 152BPM
4 7'37"/mi 156BPM
5 7'36"/mi 161BPM
6 7'28"/mi 160BPM
7 7'12"/mi 164BPM

You'll BQ with your eyes closed. If you haven't been doing speed work, I'm afraid of what will happen.

PS: I had 2 friends BQ this year and they both used Scott Pfitzinger's Advanced Marathoning book and swear that was what did for them.
