All I have to say is wow. My friends wanted to go shopping at the markets, and I had .08 mi to the beach house. I took one glance at the GPS hoping to recap where I was. What I didn't realize was that my friend turned the truck around, in turn; it threw me off. I headed towards E. Ashley Ave, which was the opposite way that I was supposed to be going, I was already on W. Ashley Ave, which is where I should have continued. However, we turned around and what have you, so it threw me off. I continued on down E. Ashley Ave. for 2 miles, pitch black outside of course.
I finally got to the coast and peered out, seeing it pitch black, I panicked. Did I mention that my GPS on my phone was not working because my phone was actually dead? I turned around, even asked for directions twice, and finally made it back to town. I saw the word Pier and remembered running to that the previous day on the beach. So I went through Ocean Front Hotel, but there was a gate, however it overlooked the beach, so I proceeded around it, and followed the dark beach. I ran the whole stretch as fast as I possibly could. I almost ran into several people on the beach because one, it was completely dark out, and two I'm not sure what the other reason was, besides the fact that I was sprinting.
Finally I made it back, after like 2 hours of being lost, I had some people worried. Oops.
