great Last long run before race day... 8 mi 01:15 09:22 pace
Pace practice for race day...I'm freaking out! 5 more miles of this pace? No way. I would have been taking the shame shuffle by mile 10. In my months of trying so hard to get faster....I think ... read more

Going faster, but reserving to finish! Your adrenalin and determination will get you to the finish line! Nice pace and miles today for Easter!

Don't worry about it. Michelle is right. Adrenalin will certainly help. But also remember your 1st 2.5 miles are gonna be slow, slow, SLOW due to traffic. I bet you'll be averaging close to 10:10 pace. That extra rest time will allow you to run harder in the later stages. No need to run a constant pace from start to finish. I believe you'll run neg splits.

Tiny bit chilly getting started, but ended up being perfect running weather. Finished off with a yummy DQ ice cream cone. Um, did I just cancel out all the work I did?! Eh, it was worth it :)

I keep canceling out runs with Easter candy.. and it's not even here yet! Everyone is getting empty baskets at my house! Nice quick pace!

Hahaahahahha. LOVED it! I can sorta relate to this guy, but honestly he sounded like he was trying to pick you up kindergarten-style. You know, pull your pigtails & be an ass. LOL! But I do understand the competitive thing. I do something similar most runs, only I DON'T announce it. Plus I flat out KNOW most runners, male or female, are much better runners than myself, as was soundly proven by this morning's ass whooping.

Thanks brains :) You're the best. Missy, I have the same feelings for W&R. NEVER again. NEVER NEVER NEVER!! Probably not the race's fault....but if I do a fall 1/2 it will be Council Grove or Wichita for sure. HH I'll have to consider ;)
