Same as 2012. To keep having fun and minimise the inevitable age-related slow down. Oh, run a couple of 100 Milers too....

Very pleased with my race today. Legs felt good, with zero hip/glute/groin issues - a pleasant surprise just 10 days after the 50 Miler. Of course, I started off faster than planned, which meant a major slow down in the last 3/4 mile or so. I hung tough though, and in the end was happy to finish 4th overall (according to the official results) and take the 1st place Old Guy award. Actually, I thought I finished 5th, but maybe the humidity frazzled my brain....
Great to see a huge contingent of local dailymilers out on the course. Too many to mention, but you know who you all are.
Definitely a hot and humid day for racing, but that's why I train in it. Good stuff!
