Piss on the watch. The movement is what is important, as long as you're moving then the time doesn't matter. As you get stronger then miles get easier. Then the watch becomes a motivator until then it can be a bite in the ass. Smile, because running is making you a healthier person! Walk what you have to run the rest, but push your self to run more each time. Believe in your self!

if youre new to running try to gradually build to running for 30 minutes. use this site it helps http://running.about.com/od/getstartedwithrunning/ht/getstarted.htm at first you it may seem very easy, but the reason is so you can gradually adjust to running without hurting yourself

Ice baths do help. And if it's your lower legs, you might want to check out some compression leg sleeves. They help too.

I can totally empathize with you. When I started out, I couldn't run at a stretch, even for a minute!!! I started following this programme where I had to alternate jogging and walking and the results have been very promising. I can now run for about 40 minutes without feeling breathless. You're doing great and alternating walking and running initially is the best way to do it!

I know what you mean about the run days being the fun ones. I dislike lifting weights myself but its a necessary evil.

Maybe with time your wrists will get stronger! Great workout!

Well, that's side plank, actually. For regular plank I do it on my hands/wrists. My instructor always says you can do plank on your knees, though, if regular plank puts too much strain on you. Might help a little.

If your doing pushups you can hold onto dumbbells instead of bending your wrist to get flat on the floor. The dumbbells take the pressure off the wrist :-)

I know half of nothing! Top of feet can mean your shoes are laced to tight. I run on the front of my foot so my calf does all the work and was pretty sore the first few weeks. They don't hurt though...so that's an issue. Friend had top foot issues, got new shoes...no more issue.
